are you sure the files you have are really V10? as far as i know there are floating some fake versions around the web. take a look in the navpsf_update-folder. there are 2 files 'dbinfo.txt' and 'version.txt' holding information about the part.- and the versionnumber of the included maps. the navigation-device takes this information you'll later see on the display.
but again, i wonder what's your intention? why do you want to write an image to the sd-card?
yours sincerely jori...

Im not shure no,
in version name : western Europe V10 year : 17navteq11
In dbinfo : version 0070 part number 3AA919866
My intention is to put the version V10 on the card V9 blocked, the data of the card sd change because I compared the files with "Winhex editor" are only tests ... But I would like to have a Dump a sdcard V10 to compare.
One question: when using the SD card for update, is the SD card usable again for a new update?
Hello Julio,
you can unblock or unlock your v9 card and after that use it for update to v10. Without unlocking your card u cant put/copy your v10 data to it.
Nevertheless I will send you a link with correct v10 data by private message-then u can compare.
Greetz
Ok, I could compare if my idea is good, thank you
under regular circumstances, no!
but, to clear up some misreadings here. i would like to know what do you mean if you are talking about a 'blocked sd-card'? do we talk about the device-assignment which is set to a sd-card after first use in a navigation-device? such cards are restricted to the first device used in and do not allow you an update of another navigation-device!
on the other way a sd-card can also be a 'locked sd-card'. a locked card for example blocks any read/write operation as long as you do not unlock it first. also writing an image to such cards is not possible! as i can see in your snapshots you was able to write an image to your card. this tolds me, your card must be an unlocked one! did you unlocked the card at first followed by writing the image and relocked the card later to use it in your cars navigation-device?
so, to go back to your question, no rule without exception:
1) if you want to update another navigation-device with the same sd-card you need to unlock the card first. afterwards you must delete the file 'deviceid' in the navpsf_update folder to remove the device-assignment for this card. at last but not least and after relocking with a suitable password, the sd-card is prepared again for an update of another navigation-device!
2) if you want to use V10 files on a V9-card you are forced to go nearly the same way. unlock the card at first. delete all files in the navpsf_update folder, copy the V10 files over and relock the card again with a suitable password for your existing CID.
yours sincerely jori...

Hello and thank you for your clarification, I actually understand the mechanism better. With my tests I felt like I could read and write on the sd card .... This explains why my sdcard V9 is still recognized by Rns315 after having already used on the same vehicle. Have a good day.

Hallo und sorry,
falls es hier nicht so richtig passt.
Habe jetzt schon 4 Samsung evo plus Karten 32GB gekauft ( von verschiedenen Angeboten) und keine funktioniert.
Weiss jemand wo es funktionierende Karten gibt?
Gruss

Was mache ich falsch?BusyBox v1.22.1 (Ubuntu 1:1.22.0-15ubuntu1) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.
(initramfs) Unable to find a medium containing a live file system

mfg jori...
